Some of you may have seen these before, but I enjoyed them, so I am letting you enjoy them again also.

“British Airways flight asks for push back clearance from terminal.”
Control Tower replies: “And where is the world’s most experienced airline going today without filing a flight plan?”

ATC: “Al Italia 345 continue taxi to 26L South via Tango — check for workers along taxiway.”
Al Italia 345: “Roger, Taxi 26 Left A via Tango. Workers checked — all are working”

Nova 851: “Halifax Terminal, Nova 851 with you out of 13,000 for 10,000, requesting runway 15.”
Halifax Terminal (female): “Nova 851, Halifax, the last time I gave a pilot what he wanted I was on penicillin for three weeks. Expect runway 06.”

ATC: “Cessna 123, what are your intentions? “
Cessna: “To get my Commercial Pilots License and Instrument Rating.”
ATC: “I meant in the next five minutes not years.”

Cessna 152: “Flight Level Three Thousand, Seven Hundred”
Controller: “Roger, contact Houston Space Center”

Student Pilot: “I’m lost; I’m over a big lake and heading toward the big “E.”
Controller: “Make several 90 degree turns so I can identify you on radar.”
(Short pause)…
Controller: “Okay then. That big lake is the Atlantic Ocean. Suggest you turn to the big “W” immediately.”

Tower: “American…and for your information, you were slightly to the left of the centerline on that approach.”
American: “That’s correct; and my First Officer was slightly to the right”

Controller: “FAR1234 confirm your type of aircraft. Are you an Airbus 330 or 340?”
Pilot: “A340 of course!”
Controller: “Then would you mind switching on the two other engines and give me 1000 feet per minute, please?”

Tower: “Cessna 123, turn right now and report your heading.”
Pilot: “Wilco. 341, 342, 343, 344, 345…”

Foreign Pilot Trainee: “Tower, please speak slowly, I am a baby in English and lonely in the cockpit”
Controller: “CRX600, are you on course to SUL?”
Pilot: “More or less.”
Controller: “So proceed a little bit more to SUL.”

As I drove down the A40 (the westway) past the BBC, i could see in the distance a departing aeroplane taking off from Heathrow rway 09. I was thinking that it could be a very heavy 747 as the take off seemed very slow – as I stopped at the lights, i could see that it was the lunchtime departure for the Singapore airlines A380. It was my first sighting of the super jumbo taking off across london. I live right under the flight path to heathrow and i was really liking the silky way the aeroplanes climbs. The plane is very big as i right behind the A380 was a Quantas 747-400 which looked smaller from the ground

The difference between a duck and a copilot?
The duck can fly.
A check ride ought to be like a skirt.
Short enough to be interesting, but long enough to cover everything.
Speed is life.
Altitude is life insurance.
It only takes two things to fly:
Airspeed, and money.
The three most dangerous things in aviation:
1. A Doctor or Dentist in a Bonanza.
2. Two captains in a DC-9.
3. A flight attendant with a chipped tooth.

Aircraft Identification:
If it’s ugly, it’s British.
If it’s weird, it’s French.
If it’s ugly and weird, it’s Russian.
Without ammunition, the USAF would be just another very expensive flying club.
The similarity between air traffic controllers and pilots?
If a pilot screws up, the pilot dies.
If ATC screws up, the pilot dies.
It’s better to break ground and head into the wind than to break wind and head into the ground.
The difference between flight attendants and jet engines is that the engines usually quit whining when they get to the gate.
New CAA motto:
‘We’re not happy, till you’re not happy.’
If something hasn’t broken on your helicopter, it’s about to.
I give that landing a 9 . . on the Richter scale.
Basic Flying Rules:
1. Try to stay in the middle of the air.
2. Do not go near the edges of it.
3. The edges of the air can be recognized by the appearance of ground, buildings, sea, trees and interstellar space. It is much more difficult to fly in the edges.
Unknown landing signal officer to carrier pilot after his 6th unsuccessful landing attempt: ‘You’ve got to land here son. This is where the food is.’
