Cranfield Flight Training is where i am now going to complete my PPL. Overall i would say that in my short flying experience, this has to be the best place that i have yet attended. Every flying organisation that i have so far been trained with have their individual merits. I still know who is my favourite instructor.

Terry Ackroyd who is the onwer of the PA28 (G-AXIO) that i use train on has the hand control units it. Terry is based next to Cranfield flight training and a month ago, i went to see terry to discuss pilot training. he was very open minded and he planted the seeds so to speak with David Coulson who is the head of training at the flying school. David Coulson did my medical flight test and since then i have got to know him. you may have gathered that from my last posts.

I have been greatly inspired by the team effort between terry, david, donald and mike who have gone out of their way to develop my flying skills.

I know that i can learn from all at this flying school. the team have not trained a person with disabilities before, and yet it feelsas if they have. they know how to overcome tiny little matters as well as the larger ones, such as dealing with heavy cross wind landings.

I would advice any person who has a disability wishing to train as a pilot to consider Cranfield Flight Training

they are well located and use a very prestigous location which has a long history of aeronautical engineering. the cost is very fair also compared to many many schools.

David served with the Royal Air Force and has flown many different aircraft types. David has been instructing for over 27 years and has been an Advanced Flying Instructor for most of that time. He has accrued an immense amount of instructional flying experience (currently more than 21,000 hours). He has successfully completed a vast number of professional pilot courses during that time and many of the pilots who have completed courses with David, now sit in the seats of heavy jets. David’s extensive knowledge of all things aeronautical makes Cranfield Flight Training exceptional in the industry of Professional Pilot training.
