Freedom Raffle

Freedom in the Air and Pilot Magazine have partnered with Metropolis Music, the organisers of V-festival 2010 to offer 2 VIP weekend camping festival tickets through a raffle.

Freedom in the Air’s raffle is a great way to get involved and raise much needed funds for people with disabilities who wish to learn to fly. Please help us continue our valuable work by purchasing a ticket for the summer raffle that is £12. With your help, we can raise up to £2,000

The Winning Participant will receive a prize consisting of 2 VIP backstage camping tickets for V-festival taking place at Hylands Park, Chelmsford between August 21st to August 22nd, 2010. This includes access to the VIP backstage bar where you can hang out with the rock stars.

Should the winner wish to fly to the festival, the nearest airport, Southend, is only a 20 min taxi ride away.

The line up includes Kings of Leon, Kasabian, Paul Weller, Pet Shop Boy and The Prodigy: The winner will also get a “Prodigy Goodie Bag” given by The Prodigy after their headline show on Sunday 22 August.

FAQs

Where does the money go?

All money donated will be used for the Freedom Wings events. These days are a wonderful opportunity to introduce disadvantaged or disabled youngsters to the freedom experienced in the air. A day in a light aircraft, safely taking control of the plane for a short time is a life-changing experience and enables young people to feel that they can reach for the skies and achieve virtually anything.

Can I buy more than one ticket?

Yes. You will automatically receive one ticket for every £12.00 that you donate. Following your donation you will be emailed details of your ticket numbers. You must supply your email address in order to be eligible for a ticket – this will never be used for marketing purposes.

How do I know that this is legitimate?

Your donations will be made using Paypal. From there the money will be passed to Freedom in the Air (FITA) a new, unique and exciting aviation Not-for-profit Community Interest Company registered in England and Wales Company No. 05797842

When does the raffle end?

The raffle will end on 10th August 2010. NB. The Draw date will be August 15th 2010.

How will the winner be chosen?

The winning ticket will be randomly selected by Pilot Magazine from the list of all tickets that have been issued. We will video the draw and post it online so you can see the draw take place. The winning ticket number will be posted to the Freedom in the Air and Pilot Magazine website. Additionally the winner will be contacted directly by email and phone.

How will the winner be announced?

When will the winner receive their prize?

The winner will receive their prize following the anouncement. Please note: We will send the voucher via registered post to the winner. The instructions will be on there. The winner will need to call a special hotline where the festival organiser will arrange for delivery of your tickets near to the time of the festival.
