As I drove down the A40 (the westway) past the BBC, i could see in the distance a departing aeroplane taking off from Heathrow rway 09. I was thinking that it could be a very heavy 747 as the take off seemed very slow – as I stopped at the lights, i could see that it was the lunchtime departure for the Singapore airlines A380. It was my first sighting of the super jumbo taking off across london. I live right under the flight path to heathrow and i was really liking the silky way the aeroplanes climbs. The plane is very big as i right behind the A380 was a Quantas 747-400 which looked smaller from the ground
