Freedom in the Air’s (FITA) founder was presented with the Special Recognition Award, by the British Women Pilots’ Association (BWAP) at their 2013 Christmas lunch at Hall Place. This video is the short talk after our founder gave at the BWPA Christmas lunch. He had no idea he was going to be given the award after his speech. Here is that speech along with the slides and films he showed.
Our founder has been a strong advocate for gender equality across all areas of life. Having been inspired by his mother. And FITA hopes one day to follow in the footsteps of the BWPA by celebrating 60 years of existence.
BWPA will be 60 years strong in 2015. We look forward to working with them in the coming years. Visit their site http://www.bwpa.co.uk/ and you can follow their tweets here @BWPA_UK
